These terms govern your use of the MuckMate platform provided by Muck Mate Limited. By accessing or using MuckMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

• "Platform" — the MuckMate web application, mobile app, and all related services
• "Company" — Muck Mate Limited (Company No. 17076631)
• "User" — any individual or organisation accessing the Platform
• "Subscriber" — a User with an active paid subscription

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

3. Subscription & Payments

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe
• All prices are in GBP and exclude VAT unless otherwise stated
• You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial months
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
• Failed payments may result in service suspension after reasonable notice

4. Free Trials

Free trials may be offered at our discretion. At the end of a trial, a subscription is required to continue. We may modify or discontinue trial offers at any time.

5. Acceptable Use

• Use the Platform only for lawful fleet and waste management purposes
• Do not share, resell, or sublicense your access
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the Platform
• Ensure all data entered is accurate, particularly waste tracking information
• Comply with all applicable UK laws and environmental regulations

6. Data & Content

• You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Platform
• You grant us a licence to process and store your data to provide our services
• You are responsible for the accuracy of data submitted to DEFRA through the Platform

7. DEFRA & Regulatory Compliance

MuckMate facilitates DEFRA digital waste tracking submissions but you remain responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations. You should verify all submissions and maintain your own records as required by law.

8. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance will be performed with reasonable notice where possible.

9. Limitation of Liability

• The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding 12 months
• We are not responsible for data loss due to factors outside our control

10. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, logos, and content, is the intellectual property of Muck Mate Limited. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part without written consent.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or for other reasonable cause. Upon termination, you may request a data export within 30 days.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
